Introduction
to Series One
In this first series of Anu
Universe-City Recitations, we present selected verses from
Nine
Sacred Texts that illuminate Our Spiritual Horizon. These
are
texts that could well have the power to lead us back to having a more
holistic relationship with ourselves, with our environment, and with
the aim and purpose of our creator.
During this inaugural journey to enlightenment, we elect to begin at
the beginning; or, at least as close to the beginning as our spiritual
body of knowledge takes us. And so we choose our first verses of
recitation to come from the oldest written spiritual scriptures we have
today. It, or rather they, represent the many verses of insightful and
enduring pearls of wisdom that were written on the walls of temples and
pyramids, on tombs and coffins, and on papyrus scrolls in the Nile
Valley. The arrogant Europeans who 'discovered' them in the 18th
century called them "The Egyptian Book of the Dead" However, the
honorable people who wrote and lived this wisdom called their
writings, Metu (Mdu) Neter (Ntr), which translates to mean -
The
Writings of
God.
From this survey of the wisdom of the ancients, we
might better understand the madness we are surrounded by in this modern
world; and, through their insights, maybe we might find a way
out of this
distorted reality. Some believe, and it is quite possible, these wise
teachings act as a portal that
leads to a spiritual zone of safety, a place where each of us can find
a
sactuary of peace and tranquility, for momemts, if not minutes or hours
each day.
But before we begin, it is important to make clear that those early
European scholars, through their words and presumptions, did
effectively taint most of our opinions about ancient peoples
and their beliefs.
For example, after giving us their cultural spin, these same political,
religious
and intellectual leaders did purposefully infused into the Christian
doctrine and articles
of faith the notion that the early
so-called Egyptians were polytheists. It is a label
for those people
that has stuck, even in spite of the fact that some of their most noted
scholars -- men like E.A. Wallis Budge, Gerald Massey and others --
subsequently recanted, stating categorically that the people of Kemet
(or Egypt)
were unquestionably MONOTHEISTIC!!! That they believed in ONE SUPREME
GOD.
Yet,
by that time the psychological damage had been done. This in fact is
the origin of how we today have come to the
unquestioned
belief that our early fore-parents, the so-called Egyptians,
were heathens or idolitors, rather than wise, sagacious, spiritual
being. And, it is also why most of us didn't want to "look back", or
even search for any wisdom our fore-parents might have passed
along for our
benefit.
Well, from my readings of
just some of their writings it is clear that
the ancients were a loving, caring people who knew the 'time and the
season,'
and wanted to leave for enduring generations, wisdom that might help
us, in this day, raise ourselves up after living in darkness
and mental death for a very long time. Again, they had insights into
'the time
and the seasons' of man's sojourn, and the horrors we would
have to endure.
During
this series of recitations of our sacred scriptures, we
plan to read what we feel are most important insights related to the
hu+man resurrection process. Furthermore, to put things into a rational
context, we end each session with a brief commentary,
where
we give further explanation and meaning to the verses
read.
In these sessions we
not only show our appreciation for our parent's recorded
spiritual revelations, we also establish continuity of
wisdom from the earliest scriptures found, to those that found
their way into later spiritual texts all around the
planet. And, because of its vital contribution to these later sacred
texts, we begin by introducing the first spiritual literature
we
have; literature from a melanic Afrikan people who called
themselves - Kmtu, which
itself translates to mean - Black people.
As a result of their combined
insights, over the coming weeks and
months, each of us will
soon be better able to appreciate the philosophical principles and core
myths that underlies what wider swatch of people believe and
subsequently hold as 'absolute truth.'

Upcoming Recitation Series
The
second series in this on-going journey
towards tomorrow begins September '07. At that point,
we continue our survey of some of the most sacred books of
hu+manity. More importantly, like in the first series, we seek
to
understand these sacred works in a modern and socially relevant light.
Realize that this ancient and profound knowledge is crucial to our
fundamental understanding. Moreover, it could help us begin to answer
the three most profound questions of existence including: Who are we?
What is our
purpose on this plane of existence? And, what should
we be
doing to make that purpose realizable?
Finally, if registration levels warrant, we plan in
the
second or future series to present these readings daily, or at
least
several times a week. As you might expect, there is a trememdous amount
of information to cover, and even reading from them
every day would require several years to
cover the principle scriptures, and there undoubtedly would
be more...
You are lovingly invited to join us for the continuation of
this insightful voyage into a tomorrow that empowers us all.

Your Brother in Truth,
